Who we are

I’m Valentina Araya, born in Calama and based in San Pedro de Atacama. I’ve guided in Los Flamencos National Reserve for ten seasons and am an amateur astronomer who chose to live here for the night skies. The desert doesn’t care about your schedule — altitude and acclimatisation do. That’s what this site is built on.

What we do

I research the atacama desert tour available in San Pedro de Atacama, read through traveller reviews, and write up honest, practical guidance on which tour suits which traveller — especially the altitude and cold.
